SUPERIOR QUALITY TEA

Femallay's premium organic teas were created to nourish and balance the female body, but all can benefit from these restorative, high-quality herbal blends.

By using only organic ingredients, we help to keep potentially dangerous, synthetic pesticides and herbicides out of the Earth and out of your precious body.

Opting for whole loose-leaf tea also has many flavor and health benefits over the more commercially available cut leaves in tea bags.  Cut leaves quickly dry out and go stale, requiring unnatural flavoring to create a tasty cup of tea.  However, when herbs are left in their full, natural form, their antioxidants and essential oils that give tea its flavor, aroma, vitamins, and minerals are retained and allowed to infuse more effectively as the steeped leaves have room to unfurl and expand slowly.

You can rest assured as you sip and savor your herbal tea infusion while inhaling the full-bodied aroma, that you're getting the best cup of tea possible by choosing organic whole loose leaves!

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Each tin contains approximately 40 servings with a heaping teaspoon of herbs used per cup of tea.

MEET THE INGREDIENTS

This tea has been thoughtfully blended with several amazingly beneficial herbs for your health and enjoyment.

Did you know that since ancient times red raspberry leaf has been the single most treasured herb for feminine health?  For centuries, herbalists and doctors have recommended red raspberry leaf for its healing and invigorating effects on a woman in practically any stage of her life.

While acting as a uterine toner and hormone balancer, this gentle and earthy herb is able to regulate and lighten menstruation, reduce cramps, aid fertility, ease pregnancy and labor, boost milk supply in postpartum, and even relieve discomforts of menopause.

Filled with a plethora of vitamins and minerals, whole-leaf red raspberry leaf tea is not only advantageous to reproductive organs but can also balance blood sugar, benefit digestion, reduce inflammation, flush out toxins, and relieve stress.

Nettle leaf has been used for hundreds of years to treat painful muscles and joints, eczema, arthritis, gout, acne, allergies, and anemia.  Nettle contains prostaglandins which have properties that support resistance to redness and irritation.  It also contains high levels of protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, and beta-carotene and high amounts of the vitamins A, C, D, and B complex.

Strawberry leaf is known for being super high in antioxidants, which are important for overall health, elimination of toxins, and disease prevention.  It also contains trace minerals and vitamins, such as iron, calcium, and vitamin C, that are important for the health and maintenance of many different body functions.

A member of the mint family, spearmint leaf upholds the tradition of a subtly sweet flavor coupled with a cooling effect.  This refreshing, bright green herb is native to the Mediterranean region, but can now be found throughout the world.  Spearmint shares many of the qualities of its better-known cousin, peppermint.  Traditional uses vary from treating earaches and increasing milk supply to freshening breath and treating gastrointestinal discomfort.  Spearmint contains Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Zinc, Vitamin B6, and Phosphorus among other beneficial vitamins and minerals.

Oatstraw is a nutrient-dense plant that has been used medicinally for centuries throughout the world.  The tops of the oat plant, oatstraw, is used as a nervous system tonic and to reduce anxiety.  Oatstraw is rich in potassium, manganese, cobalt, and zinc.  For those of you who are avoiding gluten (which can be found in oats), you don't have to worry about consuming this herb.  It's completely, naturally gluten-free!

Named for its prominent citrus scent, nourishing lemon balm features a flavor reminiscent of lemon and mint with an underlying slight sweetness.  Lemon balm has often been used in holistic medicine and herbal remedies as a digestive aid, to promote strong memory, relieve headaches, and alleviate stress.

Long regarded as simply a symbol of love, the beneficial properties of rose petals have long eluded Western culture.  Popular in the Middle East, the thorny perennials are highly regarded for their high Vitamin C content.  Many cultures still treat roses as more food and herbal supplement than romantic offerings.  Most commonly rose petals are used to promote immunity and soothe stomach problems.  Rose petals contain Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin E, Potassium, and Iron. Scientists have also discovered many beneficial phytonutrients believed to work synergistically to promote overall wellness.

Rosehips are known for their tart taste and high concentration of Vitamin C.  They are often used in herbal remedies that promote immunity-boosting properties and detoxing through their natural diuretic properties.  Also high in Vitamin A and a number of beneficial flavonoids, carotenoids, and antioxidants, rosehips are often used for skin health and to promote healthy digestion.

Chamomile flowers have a subtly sweet, apple-like taste and aroma.  Traditionally, this dried herb is used to promote relaxation and calm the stomach.  The gentle caffeine-free herb is considered to be one of the safest for a child's consumption.  With its antifungal, anti-inflammatory properties it has been used to relieve gas, colic, and even congestion when steamed for inhalation.

It's well known that lemons are an antioxidant powerhouse, but did you know that the skin contains many more beneficial phytonutrients than the fruit itself?  Unlike the fruit, lemon peel has an underlying sweetness that balances its infamous pucker.  The aromatic is commonly used in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine to promote healthy digestion and stimulate the appetite.

Licorice root is a beneficial herb with a sweet flavor reminiscent of fennel or star anise. This indulgent, tasty root is often used in herbal remedies that alleviate congestion, boost the immune system, balance hormones, and alleviate gastrointestinal issues and ulcers with its anti-inflammatory properties.  Licorice is a good source of B vitamins, Vitamin E, iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium, and a range of other nourishing flavonoids and nutrients.

One of the most popular herbs in the history of holistic medicine and herbal remedies, ginger root is sweet and spicy with powerful health benefits.  Though the true origin of ginger root is unknown, it can now be found growing in areas of the world with a warm humid climate.  In Chinese medicine, it's been used to detox the body and boost immunity. Other popular uses for ginger root include improving digestion and alleviating pain through its anti-inflammatory properties.

Ashwagandha root is an adaptogen that’s often referred to as Indian ginseng.  This versatile herb promotes a healthy stress response, restful sleep, and a boosted libido.  Users can also benefit from ashwagandha’s anti-inflammatory and antibiotic properties. Ashwagandha contains beneficial minerals and compounds including calcium, copper, zinc, iron, vanadium, flavonoids, saponins, and free amino acids.

Like ashwagandha, the suma root is an adaptogen.  Adaptogens help can promote a healthy response to stress, increase energy levels, and boost immunity.  Also called Brazilian Ginseng, suma root is not actually a member of the ginseng family.  Suma root contains beneficial vitamins and minerals including Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, zinc, magnesium, and iron.

So named for the sweet, lemony scent, lemon verbena is primarily used in cooking.  Lemon verbena is native to South America but is now grown throughout the world.  This fragrant herb is used to soothe stomach troubles, alleviate anxieties, and reduce inflammation.
